Eugene Weis, CCE, is a feature documentary editor with over 15 years of experience shaping powerful, story-driven films. Known for his sharp narrative instincts, he moves seamlessly between hard-hitting social issue documentaries and intimate portraits of some of the most influential figures in pop culture. His work has premiered at leading international festivals, including TIFF, SXSW, and Tribeca, and has earned widespread recognition. Most recently, he received a 2026 Canadian Screen Award nomination for Bam Bam: The Sister Nancy Story, adding to a previous CSA nomination for his work on Who The F**K Is Arthur Fogel. He is also a four-time Canadian Cinema Editors Award nominee for Metamorphosis, Howie Mandel: But Enough About Me, Revival69: The Concert That Rocked the World and Bam Bam: The Sister Nancy Story. In 2026, Driven by a commitment to authenticity and precision, Eugene brings a clear, unbiased voice to every project he works on. Most recently Eugene premiered his latest work Nekai Walks at Hot Docs, winning the Rogers Audience Choice Award for Best Canadian Feature.
