Elle Vernee

Overview

  • Height
    5′ 6″ (1.68 m)

Mini bio

  • Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Elle was affectionately dubbed "The Human Tape Recorder" as a child for her uncanny ability to memorize and mimic adult conversations-whether they were meant to be repeated or not. This early gift for observation and dialogue laid the foundation for what would become a lifelong passion for storytelling.

As a teen, Elle channeled her creativity into writing poetry and stage plays, eventually expanding into screenwriting and commercial production. Her original works include stage plays, screenplays, and broadcast content created for organizations such as The Tom Joyner Morning Show, The Mayor's Office of Orlando, Cox Media Group, The Beta Center, and the Wells' Built Museum of African American History and Culture, among others.

As an actress, Elle has appeared in a variety of film and television projects including "Tough Love: Atlanta" (as Janice), "Atlantafornication" (as Aunt Pearlie), and "Carter High" (as Mrs. Campbell) alongside Vivica A. Fox and Charles S. Dutton. She has performed in more than a dozen classic stage plays and made her music video debut in Justin Bieber's "Ghost." Her on-screen presence extends to national commercials for ClickUp, American Greetings, Amtrak, Publix Supermarkets, CarMD, and others.

While Elle enjoys performing, screenwriting remains her first love. Her compelling storytelling has earned recognition in numerous prestigious screenwriting competitions and film festivals, including:

Academy Nicholl Fellowship (2017 - Top 10% of all entries) Hollywood Black Film Festival (Top 10) Orlando Urban Film Festival (Finalist) Columbus Black International Film Festival (Winner) Women in Cinema International Screenplay Competition (Top 10) National Black Film Festival (Finalist) South Carolina Underground Film Festival (Finalist)

With a voice rooted in authenticity and a gift for crafting narratives that resonate, Elle continues to build a legacy as a multi-talented creative force in the world of film, television, and live performance.
