  • Jeremy Kotin won accolades for the first feature film he co-edited, Monogamy (Tribeca Film Festival "Best New York Narrative") for director Dana Adam Shapiro (Academy Award nominee for Murderball). More recently Jeremy edited the feature film Blood Stripe which become a festival favorite, winning top prize at LA Film Festival and top Audience Awards at Austin Film Festival and Twin Cities Film Festival. The film was released nationally in late 2017. His editing work on the documentary For the Love of Music was awarded two Cannes Lion and his collaboration with jazz vocalist Gretchen Parlato was nominated for a Grammy.

    As the Creative Director for Tandem Pictures, Jeremy helped usher two films to their Sundance premieres (The Sleepwalker, The Eyes of My Mother) and oversaw pre- through post-production on the Jon Heder and Justin Long led ensemble comedy Ghost Team which went on to a sale with The Orchard and a nation-wide release.

    Since 2012, Jeremy has been honored to have an ongoing collaboration as a go-to editor for director Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge!, Romeo + Juliet). He worked with him on his Netflix series, The Get Down. With Baz, he created a commemorative film for Editor-in-Chief, Anna Wintour, celebrating her 25 years at Vogue, featuring Nicole Kidman, Hillary Clinton, Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, and many more. Jeremy edited Baz' eight short films for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, creating an imaginary conversation between two fashion designers, Miuccia Prada and the late Elsa Schiaparelli (portrayed in the films by Judy Davis), premiering at the 2012 Met Costume Gala, presided over by Ms. Wintour.

    Jeremy's early focus in film was geared to the music industry where he worked with Grammy Award winning Artists Dolly Parton, Carly Simon, Esperanza Spalding, Academy Award winner Jorge Drexler, The Punch Brothers, Rosanne Cash, Emmylou Harris, Madeleine Peyroux, Randy Newman and opera star, Renee Fleming. Jeremy also created work for visual artist Lorna Simpson, director Robert Wilson, choreographer Mark Morris, and Tony nominated choreographer Dan Knechtges.

    Jeremy has created and directed media campaigns for Chase Ink, Barneys, Samsung, H Stern featuring Katie Holmes, Mary Kay, Hellmann's, Mazola, Philip Glass: The Glass Center, NYC EDC, Coney Island and more. Jeremy has taken special interest in working with non-profit organizations to help get their important messaging out further, including the Alzheimer's Association, Dan Savage's "It Gets Better" project, the John Theurer Cancer Center and most recently AIDS Foundation of Chicago for which he was awarded a Platinum Hermes Creative Award and CAMFED, a short film for which he received an AVA Digital Award and a Hermes Creative Award.
