  • Farhad Samji is an Indian screenwriter, director, and lyricist, predominantly working in the Hindi film industry.

    He began his career as a lyricist with his brother Sajid Samji in 2002. They began by writing lyrics for the film Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin (2002). Some of the songs they worked on together include Khuda Se Mannat from the film Keerthi Chakra (2006) and the Bol Bachchan title track from the film Bol Bachchan (2012). Salman Khan was the first to recommend the duo of Farhad and Sajid to director David Dhawan who then got them as lyricists for Hum Kisise Kum Nahin.

    The duo also wrote lyrics for films like Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. (2003). They went on to write dialogues for the film Shiva (2006). After that, they wrote dialogues for films like Golmaal Returns (2008), Golmaal 3 (2010), Ready (2011), Bol Bachchan (2012), and so on.

    They also screen-wrote for films like Chennai Express (2013). The duo went on to direct It's Entertainment (2014). They wrote the screenplay for Dilwale (2015) and Simmba (2018).

    Some of his solo works as director include Baby Come Naa (2018), Housefull 4 (2019),

    He went on to direct Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (2023), a remake of Veeram (2014). He was nominated for the Producers Guild Film Awards for Singham (2019).
