- In his first professional film, The Poughkeepsie Tapes, David went by his first and middle name, rather than first and last. His representatives at the time felt that his last name would be too hard for people to pronounce correctly. It's pronounced like the bird, Hawk, or more accurately rhymes with rock. David's band logo was Haack Rock, hoping this would help people pronounce his last name correctly.
