Biography

Born in Odessa, Ukraine, Marat came to the States at a very young age. Growing up he idolized Bruce Lee and Jean-Claude Van Damme, and watched action movies religiously, however his love for cinema was not limited to only one genre. Marat's earlier years were devoted to martial arts; he competed at the National American Circuit and earned the Silver Medal at the Gracie Worlds Tournament (Jiu Jitsu) in Columbus, Ohio. He also Won The Maryland State Heavyweight Title for amateur boxing. As he approached the financial means to intensify his training, Marat began studying Film and Theater at Towson University, which later led him to training with Steve Yeager, Bob Christie, and John Pallatto. To this day, Marat has worked in numerous short and feature films with genres ranging from Action and Comedy to Sci Fi and Drama, including projects such as Game Change (Ed Harris), Veep (Julia Louis Dreyfus), and House of Cards (Kevin Spacey).
