Biography

Graduated from the University of Texas, Austin, Texas with B.A. in Business Administration in 1968.

Major in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves, 1966-1976.

From 1970-1974, was a newscaster and disc jockey at KGNC, Amarillo, Texas; KOMA, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; WTIX, New Orleans, Louisiana; WFLA, Tampa, Florida.

1974-1977 - Vice President of Sales, Ampex Corporation, New York. 1977-1980 - Vice-President Allied Artists Pictures, New York.

1980-present - Founder and Chairman, Kultur International Films Ltd., which distributes over 3,000 performing arts programs on home video.

1990 - Created White Star Entertainment, producer of original programs for TV, and marketer of over 1,200 non-theatrical home video titles.

1995 - acquired distribution of Duke Powersports, with 700 motor sports programs for TV and home video.

In 1993, Dennis Hedlund was appointed a commissioner to NJN, the New Jersey Public Broadcasting Authority. He served there for 8 years, from 1993-2001 as a Vice-Commissioner.

In 2001, Hedlund was appointed a commissioner to the New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission, where he still serves.

Dennis Hedlund is member of the New York Friars Club where he serves on the Entertainment Committee, Admissions Committee and the Memorabilia Committee.

He is also the founder and director of the New Jersey Comedy Festival.
