Biography

Harry Giese was born on March 2, 1903 in Magdeburg, Germany. He was an actor, known for The Spiral Staircase (1946), Sacrifice d'honneur (1935) and Herr über Leben und Tod (1955). He died on January 20, 1991 in Berlin, Germany.

His signature rat-a-tat narration became a trade mark for German newsreels from 1940 until the end of World War II.

He dubbed Fred Astaire in the German version of Top Hat (1935).
