Biography

Chris Chung is a Toronto-based camera operator and Steadicam operator with over two decades of experience in IATSE 667. His recent second unit credits include Twisted Metal Season 2 (Paramount), Gen V Season 2 (Amazon), and Ginny & Georgia Season 3 (Netflix).

Through his work in the camera department, Chris has developed specializations in 3D as a rig technician and convergence puller, which led to 3D filming of a wide range of productions featuring bull riding in Strathmore, Alberta, wildlife and First Nation culture in Haida Gwaii, British Columbia, and both the Dali Lama and Queen Elizabeth during their visits to Canada.

With an interest in bridging highly technical camera systems with creative storytelling, Chris gained proficiency working with underwater camera housings on over 20 film, television and commercial productions. As a graduate of the Steadicam Operators Association course, Chris has used these skills on set to create dynamic camera movement to enhance narrative storytelling. Chris is known for his technical knowledge, adaptability on set, and ability to work across various formats and camera platforms. He continues to build his career through consistent, hands-on work with crews across Canada and internationally.
