- He speaks and sings fluent Polish.
- Danny and his wife welcomed fraternal twins on January 12, 2012 - a son James Timothy & a daughter Fiona Leigh.
- His father, Abraham Pudi, is Indian. His mother, Teresa (Komendant), is Polish; she was born in Pokosno, Poland, to Marianna (Organek) and Boleslaw Komendant. Danny's parents met in an English as a Second Language class in Chicago, Illinois. They are divorced.
- Worked as an actuarial recruiter until being cast as Abed in Community (2009).
- Has appeared in commercials for Snickers, Verizon, McDonald's, T-Mobile, and Pokemon.
- Graduated from Notre Dame College Prep in Niles, Illinois, even though it is north of Chicago and he grew up on the South Side. He returned in 2013 to give the commencement address.
- Met his wife at Marquette University where they both graduated as Communication majors in 2001.
- Performed improv at Second City in Chicago.
- Pudi is married to Bridget Showalter, who he met his freshman year at Marquette.
