J.T. Tom West was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. He was an actor, known for Born 2 Suffer (2002), End of State of Emergency (2005) and State of Emergency (2000). He died on September 28, 2006 in Lagos, Nigeria.

Had a long-term relationship with Tricia Esiegbe.

So identified with playing the heavy, he was known as the "bad boy" of Nollywood movies.
