Biography

Lilian Velez was born on March 3, 1924 in Cebu City, Philippines. She was an actress, known for Ang estudyante (1947), G.I. Fever (1946) and Inday (1940). She was married to Jose Climaco. She died on June 26, 1948 in Quezon City, Philippines.

A soprano singer and actor.

Played by Sharon Cuneta in The Lilian Velez Story (1995) which chronicled her murder.

Starred in the first movie directed by her husband Jose Climaco, Sa kabukiran (1947). She was paired with Narding Anzures who later became her perennial partner.

Was murdered by actor Narding Anzures after being replaced by Jaime de la Rosa to play her leading man in her next picture. Anzures spent the rest of his life in prison.
