Born in Israel. Speaks Russian, French and Hebrew.

After graduating from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Tamar became a regular in New York's comedy club and sketch comedy scene.

Her short film, "Good Luck In Her Eye", screened at LA Shorts Fest, AOF International Film Festival, the Cannes Short Film Corner, and The Liberty Film Festival.

Tamar hosts the web series, "Healthy Delectables", as an expert lifestyle, food coach and lover of all things healthy and delectable.

Born in Israel to Latvian immigrants, and raised in America since the age of 5, Tamar Kagan was raised by a long line of strong women. Her grandmother survived World War II by designing dresses for the military wives, while Tamar's mother learned to use every morsel of food in the kitchen to stretch the family meals.

To follow suit, Tamar, who knew she was a performer since the age of 12, graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts; Experimental Theatre Wing and received another "diploma" as a regular in the off-Broadway and New York City comedy club scene. Her role in the epic drama "Black Prince", winner of the 2004 Best Feature Film at the NY International Independent Film Festival inspired Tamar to pursue a film career, which brought her cross country to Los Angeles in 2004.

Other than her work on screen, the versatile actress, singer and comedienne was featured in the underground cult success, The Rag Dolls Burlesque Troupe, has been part of several sketch comedy groups, and has most recently practiced her jazz chops singing in such venues as House of Blues, The Plush Room, and The Hollywood Studio Bar and Grill.

Unlike most actors, Tamar Kagan's maternal mentoring prompted her to reach beyond performance when she co-wrote and starred in the short film, "Good Luck In Her Eye", which screened at the Cannes Short Film Corner, LA Shorts Fest, AOF International Film Festival and The Liberty Film Festival. Tamar also co-created and starred in the adult-ation of "The BFG" by Roald Dahl titled, "Frack To Bunt", and is a co-founder of the formerly known company Flip Side Theatre, which is now the internationally recognized Proto-Type Theater Company, in addition to her own one-woman show, "How to Marry a Rich Jewish Man".

Her web series, "Healthy Delectables" launched in the Summer 2010, debuting Tamar as an expert lifestyle, food coach and lover of all things healthy and delectable.
