Biography

Clarissa Kiste is a Brazilian actress acclaimed for her work in film, theater and major television productions, including the Netflix global release "Emergência Radioativa" (Radioactive Emergency). She stars in "All the Dead Ones", the 2020 Berlinale Competition film by Marco Dutra & Caetano Gotardo. A longtime collaborator of Dutra, she also appeared in the Cannes-selected short "The White Sheet" and in the Cannes Un Certain Regard feature "Hard Labor", both co-directed with Juliana Rojas.

In 2017, she reunited with Dutra for the HBO series "El Hipnotizador", sharing the screen with renowned Latin American actors Leonardo Sbaraglia, Daniel Hendler, and Darío Grandinetti. Her film credits also include "Rust" and "New Eden", directed by Aly Muritiba, as well as "Carmo" by Murilo Pasta. Both "Rust" and "Carmo" premiered in Sundance’s World Dramatic Competition. She also plays the lead in Ana Johann’s "The Same Part of a Man".

On television, Clarissa portrayed Natalia in Globo’s acclaimed telenovela "Amor de Mãe". Her other TV credits include the lead role in Fox’s "9MM", as well as Universal’s "171" and the Netflix hits "3%" and "Irmandade".

In theater, she has performed in "Hell" by Lolita Pille, directed by Academy Award nominee Hector Babenco, and in Haruki Murakami’s "The Elephant Vanishes", directed by Monique Gardenberg. She also appeared in "A Doll’s House Part 2" by Lucas Hnath, alongside Marília Gabriela. Clarissa lives in São Paulo with her daughter, Eva.
