- Samuell Benta is a British director, writer and actor working across television and film. He recently directed a block of ITV1’s long-running drama Emmerdale and previously directed the BBC children’s series Princess Mirror-Belle for CBBC. He is the creator, writer, director and star of the comedy series All About the McKenzies, which began as a successful web series before being commissioned by ITV2.
Alongside his directing work, Samuell has appeared as an actor in productions including Silent Witness, EastEnders E20, Hotel Babylon, The Cut and Power Rangers Operation Overdrive. With a background in performance, he brings a strong actor-focused approach to storytelling, with a passion for grounded characters, comedy and drama.
