Biography

Nathanael Hopkins-Smith is a Documentary Journalist, Story Teller and Comic Book Writer based in Paris, France (originally from Sydney, Australia.) His first introduction to Film & Television was while living in the UK as a child actor attending Ravenscourt Theatre School in London. Upon returning to Australia, he pursued Film studies in high school, later continuing his education at Film college.

Nathanael entered the Australian comic book scene with his creations 'The Vagabond' and 'Wrestlers In Space.' He remains committed to supporting the medium, leveraging his film experience to promote Australia's pop culture scene in his role as Lead Producer for Kapow!

Under the Kapow banner, he's developed several popular segments. These include 'Artist Spotlight' - mini documentaries highlighting comic book creators; 'Masters of Martial Arts Cinema' - conversations with martial arts actors from the 80s and 90s; and 'Undercover Geek,' a series uncovering the secret geeky passions of celebrities & people with unique collections.

Recently, Nathanael has been working behind the scenes as a videographer and editor on several projects: The animation 'Doctor Who: The Celestial Toymaker,' the short film 'Dependent,' and the action film 'The Shepherd Code: Lapierre'.
