Biography

From a young age, Josselin Panchout has harbored an unwavering passion for cinema.

At the age of 12, he immersed himself in this captivating world, and by 15, he had resolved to pursue a career as a boom operator.

He gained early experience as a projectionist (Chinon) and pursued studies in audiovisual cinema during high school, culminating in earning his BTS in Sound Studies in 2006 (HND)

He began his professional career as a 2nd AS, a role he held for four years before advancing to 1st AS in 2012.

Simultaneously, since 2006, he has also worked as a production sound mixer.

In 2022, he resumed his studies to earn a Master's Degree in Sound from ENSLL, all while continuing to work primarily as a production sound mixer.

He distinguishes himself through his expertise in post-synchronization recording and his innovative approach to artistic direction for ambient sound recording.

Additionally, he is frequently sought after as a consultant and sound designer for museum installations.

Josselin is widely acknowledged as a technician of exceptional precision, with a keen attention to detail and an outstanding technical expertise. His skills have been consistently praised by professionals in the industry, both on national and international film sets.

His adaptability, coupled with his unwavering commitment to embracing new technologies, makes him a highly valued collaborator.

Josselin Panchout also shares his expertise by occasionally teaching at prestigious institutions such as EHESS, FEMIS, and Le Fresnoy.
