- Astrid Polak was born on December 8, 1935 in Reichenberg, Sudetenland, Germany [now Liberec, Czech Republic]. She is an actress, known for Kiki's Delivery Service (1989), The Silent Forest (2022) and Vera (2019).
- Has frequently appeared in the ZDF crime series SOKO Munich, most recently in 2013 as former executive secretary and lover Hanna Steininger. She also had episodic guest roles in the series Hafendetektiv, Derrick and SOKO Stuttgart.
- From 1961 to 1964, she received private acting tuition from Margret Langen in Munich. She had her first theater engagements at the Stadttheater Pforzheim and the Staatstheater Saarbrücken. She then worked as a freelance actress in Munich, where she regularly appeared in productions in Munich's independent theatre scene.
