Reem Kadem is an award-winning actress and screenwriter known for her emotionally charged performances, transformative character work, and versatile, ethnically ambiguous screen presence across film and television.

Kadem portrays the recurring role of Shamira on the television series The Promised Land, a genre-bending comedy described as "The Chosen meets The Office." The series has continued gaining attention for its fast-paced humor, ensemble dynamic, and unconventional tone.

Throughout her career, Kadem has brought to life a wide range of characters - from the blistering emotional portrayal of Naseeka on Paramount+’s SEAL Team, to the compassionate case worker in the nationwide theatrical release No Address alongside actors like Beverly D'Angelo and Lucas Jade Zumann, to the fierce biker gang member Nona in Amazon Prime’s Revenge Ride, as well as recurring sketch appearances on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Kadem booked her first-ever SAG television audition opposite Kristen Bell on Veronica Mars, before going on to appear opposite Jada Pinkett Smith in a memorable guest appearance on Hawthorne. She was later handpicked for an NBC comedy pilot produced by Brian Grazer and directed by Ken Kwapis (He’s Just Not That Into You), starring Sarah Silverman and Jeff Goldblum, before continuing to work across a range of respected film and television projects alongside acclaimed talent throughout the industry.

She garnered international recognition for her transformative lead performance in the acclaimed feature Nawal the Jewel, inspired by the true story of Reyhaneh Jabbari. Kadem performed in English, portions of Farsi, and Malayalam - notably learning Malayalam specifically for the film, a rare undertaking for a non-native speaker in Indian cinema.

The performance earned her several nominations and four Best Actress awards, including wins at the Amsterdam International Filmmaker Festival, the Milan International Film Festival, the Multicultural Film Festival in California, and the Boston International Film Festival, where the film also received the Indie Spirit Best Feature Award during a festival edition that included projects featuring Edward James Olmos, Katie Holmes, Elaine Hendrix, Chazz Palminteri, and Jeff Daniels, who won Best Actor for the feature film Guest Artist that year.

In addition to acting, Kadem has also gained recognition as a screenwriter with multiple projects in active development spanning a range of thrillers, elevated dramas, and comedy features.
