- Werner Overheidt was born on August 19, 1924 in Oberhausen, Germany. He died on May 6, 1994 in Kreuth, Bavaria, Germany.
- In the post-war years Overheidt traveled all over Germany and ended up in Fürstenfeldbruck near Munich, where he made his way with his musical talents.
- He entertained his guests as a bandonium player in the cafés and restaurants of his hometown at the age of six, and 10 years later he is already a fully trained pianist.
- He was a musician and orchestra leader with heart and soul. Although he took the opportunity to start a pop career, his ambitions in this field were limited. For him, his band was always in the foreground.
- After a television appearance in Düsseldorf in 1953 he got his first record contract.
- In the 70s he worked as a music editor at the Südwestfunk (Baden Baden).
