- Jacob Pander is an Emmy-nominated filmmaker and graphic novelist based in Portland, Oregon. His work includes the award-winning feature film Altered Ego and the feature-length documentary Painted Life, a personal exploration of the life and work of his father, Dutch immigrant artist Henk Pander. His films have screened at festivals worldwide and received top industry honors.
Jacob frequently collaborates with his brother, Arnold, as the Pander Brothers, creating films as well as acclaimed comic books and graphic novels for DC Comics and Dark Horse Comics, including Batman: City of Light, Dissident X, GirlFiend, and Grendel: Devil’s Legacy. Their work has been nominated for Eisner and Manning Awards.
Jacob also works as a producer for Oregon Public Broadcasting’s series Oregon Art Beat.
