She has demonstrated outstanding versatility, from improvisational comedy to riveting drama, starring in the psychological thriller "Grandma's House" (2018), Best Feature Film at the 2018 American Horror Film Festival. Her memorable appearance in Season 3 of "Breaking Bad" was the featured video clip on the AMC TV website that week. On stage, her work in a wide variety of roles has been described as "gripping," "beautiful," "admirable," "sly," and "terrific." Kathy is represented by Collier Talent Agency in Austin, TX, is an active member of the ScriptWorks playwriting community, and a core member of the Austin Writers Workshop screenwriting group.

- During a break while filming the group therapy scenes for ExTerminators (2009), Jennifer Coolidge led an improvised "therapy session" on set. When filming resumed, Jennifer prompted Kathy to repeat her response, which appears on the DVD as an out-take (uncredited).
