  • Writing and performing professionally for over a decade, Heather Gornall has been hired to develop and rewrite psychological thriller and comedy features and pilots- specializing in situations or characters that are the opposite of what they seem. Stories that strip away the mask.

    Her plays have been developed and produced in New York theaters, including the Neighborhood Playhouse, Manhattan Theater Club Studios, and the National Arts Club.

    Waiting Room was her first screenplay, directed by Tom Donahue (HBO's Casting By) and starring Jake Robards. The Calm Beyond was produced and premiered at the Adelaide Film Festival in 2020. Her screenplays have been recognized multiple times by the prestigious Academy Nicholl Fellowship and Austin Film Festival Competitions.

    Heather's professional performing began as a figure skater with Disney on Ice, which segued into numerous acting credits, including (Film/TV:) The Survival Games (Netflix), One by One (Cannes FF), Film 101 (Seattle FF), and (Stage:) Dorset Theatre, Weathervane Theatre, NY Fringe Festival.

    With a Cornell University degree in Neurobiology and Behavior, she went on to develop her writing skills with playwright Jeffrey Sweet and various developmental theaters in NYC, and with Jeff Gordon's Writer's Boot Camp Two-year Screenwriting Program in LA.

    A citizen of both the US and Canada, she currently resides just outside of Toronto.
