As president and founder of District Media, Anthony "Tone Boots" Turner has developed multimedia content across a wide array of platforms. Presently, ever the renaissance man, he continues to cut his teeth as an author, screen-writer and music composer all while remaining in demand as an executive producer, showrunner and media consultant.

Majoring in Political Communication at The Ohio State University, this die-hard Buckeye gained renown as an editor for the Vibe Magazine spin-off Blaze. There, during the music and lifestyle monthly's pinnacle, he played a key role in the glossy's record breaking debut. Subsequently, under the moniker "Tone Boots" (a nickname given to him while in college), he wrote a series of humorous columns, rousing entertainment reviews and in-depth cover stories (featuring some of the biggest acts in hip-hop). Having established himself as a pundit on all things pop culture, his insight into the marketplace also led to consulting gigs with entities such as NFL Properties, Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, UBO.net, et al. Ultimately, by the time he sheathed his noted pen as a journalist, he was a regular contributor to media outlets like MTV News, Stuff Magazine, TV Guide, The Source, and many more.

Thereafter, Anthony made a transition into the entertainment industry where he co-managed a stable of song writers and record producers as well as stars like Mike Tyson, Michael K. Williams, The Game and others. In addition, he aided with A&R direction for the RIAA certified Gold® and Platinum® soundtracks for the movies "Exit Wounds" and "Romeo Must Die."

In due course, Anthony inked a development deal with MTV in order to advise the network with innovating its programming slate. Likewise, he also acted as a showrunner for a myriad of their music and variety broadcasts and stunts - e.g. "Direct Effect" (later known as "Sucker Free" on MTV2), "Spankin' New Music Week," "MC Battle II: The Takeover In Times Square" (just to name a few). Since leaving the cable powerhouse, he's continued to pollinate viable content with broad ancillary revenue potential; thus, personifying his motto: "A Posse Ad Esse" ("From Possibility To Actuality").

"Limitless creativity and a tireless work ethic are the keys to success in the competitive realm of content development!"
