Biography

Cécile Delepière was born in Aix-en-Provence, South of France, where she trained with Josette Baïz's contemporary dance company. Her education continued in Cobleskill-Richmondville High School- NY in the U.S. as an exchange student.

On her return from the U.S. at the age of 19yrs, she studied Law at the IFP (Institut Français de Presse) in Paris, as well as Acting at the Studio Alain de Bock, from where she first appeared at the Avignon Festival.

She then worked extensively on stage and film throughout France and Paris, whilst taking workshops with Jordan Beswick in Paris, and Nicki Flacks and Scott Williams in New York, thereby enabling her to also perform in English as well as French.

In 2008 in Paris she directed her first film, Doll Killer, a martial art comedy short in which she also performed.

In 2009 she moved to Toronto and founded Dollkillerfilms. A year later she moved her production company to Los Angeles where she remained for 4 years, building on her experience as a filmmaker.

In 2011, her film "Almost There" featuring John Pirkis (her husband), was nominated at the LA Indie Film Festival and the London Short Film Festival.

In 2015 she again moved with her production company, this time bringing her once more to New York. From here her latest short film "Beíth", which stars Susan ATEH is an homage to women, and a journey of rebirth.

She is now guest starring in Hbo's High Maintenance, along Ben Sinclair and Myriam Shor.
