- He joins Doyle Brunson, Scotty Nguyen, Carlos Mortensen and "Action" Dan Harrington, as being the only five people to have won both the World Series of Poker Main Event and a World Poker Tour (2003) title. Hachem won the 2005 World Series of Poker Main event and the 2006 Doyle Brunson North American Poker Classic WPT event.

But his opponent Steve Dannenmann, who held Ad 3cl, had an open-ended straight draw. When the turn brought the Ace of Spades, Dannenmann had the top pair and bet, Hachem moved all-in and was called. In the end, Dannenmann could only tie if the river brought a seven. But the 4cl on the river, ensured Hachem the win and the $7.5 million grand prize.
