- Kya Garwood is an Actor born in Yorkshire, England. From a young age she started in tap and ballet at her local village hall. As well as danced as a catwalk model for major designers in hair and fashion houses in the UK. She moved to London and trained at the Anna Scher Theatre School and went on to enroll at Kensington & Chelsea College for Performance Arts. As an unorthodox actor. Rather than attending a traditional drama school, Garwood built her career over three decades through hands-on industry experience. She initially learned the technical aspects of filmmaking, on-set business, and performance by working as a film stand-in and body double for major productions, earning the production team's respect and eventually being hired directly. She was cast in films/tv such as 24: Live Another Day, The Marvels, and Paddington 2, and as a stage actor at the Cockpit Theatre [Frederick Stroppels Package Deal] West End as a supernumerary in Stephen Daldry's An Inspector Calls, most recently at the Omnibus Theatre, Clapham, in a one-off show. She has received critical acclaim and multiple "Best Actress" awards for her powerful lead performance in the 2025 international short film Lucy. Reviewers praise her portrayal of a distressed mother, highlighting her "genuinely raw performance" and her ability to carry emotional weight with minimal dialogue.

- Kya Garwood was an official cast member in 24: Live Another Day but her scene alongside William Devane (President Heller) did not make the final edit and subsequently the scene in episode 12 was deleted.
- Kya appeared alongside Ian Burfield as DI Brown in 4 episodes of Eastenders, but never received a credit.
- During the filming of Mamma Mia Here We Go Again, Kya was chosen for a scene alongside Omid Djalili in which Omid who played the Greek Official has a tantrum whilst checking her passport. This was never featured in the end credits or outtakes, instead he was featured singing along to an Abba song. However Kya did actually make it into the film as an Ensemble Dancer in the sequence Waterloo.
