Jose M. Norton was born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal. The youngest of six kids, he is from Portuguese, Argentinean, and Polish descent. Throughout high school and early college, Norton acted in commercials, TV series and films, with a brief stint as a TV reporter. In 2005, Jose moved to New York for his senior year of college and started working in post-production. After years of editing commercials and music videos, Norton is directing his own projects, which range from music videos and branded content to narrative work.
