Suffered a third degree burn; 40 percent of his body was burned during a freak accident in his house. Media reports said he accidentally touched a live wire while reaching for a key atop a refrigerator. In the Magpakailanman episode on his life story, it revealed that he was reaching for a key which accidentally threw into the wiring of an electric post. He was confined in the hospital for more than one month because of the incident.

The husband-and-wife team of Drs. Manny and Pie Calayan is maintaining his burned skin. Only a few scars and burn marks are evident in some parts of his body.

Uses her mother's maiden family name as his show biz name. He hated his father that he did not want to be identified as Narajos when he joined in showbiz.

He started his showbiz career as member of Talents Unlimited of Ike Lozada.

His TV commercial for Royal True Orange led him to be casted in the teen variety show _"That's Entertainment" (1985)_.
