Suffered a third degree burn; 40 percent of his body was burned during
a freak accident in his house. Media reports said he accidentally
touched a live wire while reaching for a key atop a refrigerator. In
the Magpakailanman episode on his life story, it revealed that he was
reaching for a key which accidentally threw into the wiring of an
electric post. He was confined in the hospital for more than one month
because of the incident.
