Luca, originally from Tuscany, Italy, blended his traditional art studies with a passion for digital arts and film and a programming degree from the Technical Institute in Lucca. He further honed his skills at Canada's NAD Centre, focusing on Film and 3D Animation. Luca launched his VFX career at Cinesite, contributing as an FX technical director on films like "The Golden Compass," "Eragon," and "X-Men: The Last Stand."
With a sharp eye for detail, composition, and timing, combined with a solid technical background, Luca has contributed to over sixty shows throughout his career, including Oscar-winning VFX titles like "Inception," "Hugo," and "Ex-Machina," as well as BAFTA winners like "The Creator" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2."
Recently, Luca served as VFX Supervisor on "Stranger Things S4", "Fate: The Winx Saga S2", "The Creator", "Rocketman", "Mothering Sunday", "Living", "Avenue 5" and "Falling", among others.
His extensive work in blockbusters and indie films has sharpened his technical and creative skills, earning him a reputation for delivering high-quality visual effects on time to happy clients, from cost-effective, invisible, to major visual effects.
Luca values his strong relationships with clients, which he continues cultivating throughout his career.
