Biography

Gerardo Celasco is a Salvadoran-American actor and producer known for bringing intelligence, depth, and complexity to a wide range of film and television roles.

Most recently, he stars as Samuel Rojas in Peacock’s hit thriller M.I.A., and can be seen as DEA Agent Marcus Sánchez in Netflix’s The Waterfront. His television work also includes memorable roles in Swimming with Sharks opposite Diane Kruger and Kiernan Shipka, Next, Devil in Ohio, Good Sam, How to Get Away with Murder, The Idol, and Pulse.

Born in Miami and raised in El Salvador, Celasco represented El Salvador in international equestrian competition before earning a finance degree from Southern Methodist University. He began his acting career as the lead of NBC’s daytime drama Passions and has since built a diverse body of work spanning network television, streaming series, and feature films, including Moneyball and Battleship.

In addition to acting, Celasco is a producer at Apartment 3C, a production company focused on developing premium film and television projects. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
