Ganna Yarovenko is a Ukrainian film director, cinematographer, editor, and screenwriter based in Mława, Poland. She is the founder of the cultural foundation "Dialogi Sztuki" and leads the children's film studio "Rajskie Jajeczko".

Before focusing on independent filmmaking, she worked for many years in television, including series production. Today, she creates documentary films as an author, director, cinematographer, and editor.

Ganna Yarovenko is a Ukrainian film director, cinematographer, editor, and screenwriter based in Mława, Poland. She is the founder and president of the Dialogi Sztuki (Dialogues of Art) Foundation and leads the children’s film studio "Rajskie Jajeczko" (Paradise Egg), where she develops artistic and educational projects combining cinema, culture, and community work.

She began her professional career in documentary filmmaking, creating a number of author-driven documentary works. She later spent over a decade working in television and series production as a director, while continuing to develop documentary films in parallel. Following the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, she was forced to relocate to Poland, where she returned to independent filmmaking with a renewed focus on documentary cinema, as well as children’s films and animation.

Today, she works as an author, director, cinematographer, and editor, often combining these roles in her films. Her work explores themes of memory, identity, war, and human connection, and is closely connected to cultural dialogue and social engagement.

Her recent documentary Mama’s Voice (2025), filmed in Mława (Poland) and Zabuchchia (Ukraine), tells the story of a Ukrainian family separated by war and the powerful bond between two mothers-one Ukrainian and one Polish. The film had its world premiere at the LA Femme International Film Festival (USA), where it received an Honourable Mention Award. It has also been presented at the New Jersey Film Festival (USA) and the 6th IDFF Artdocfest/Riga (Latvia), and was nominated for the Toronto Women Film Festival and the Chicago Women Film Festival. In addition, the film has been screened at leading universities, including Columbia University, the University of Toronto, Western University, the University of Ottawa, McGill University, and the University of Notre Dame.

An important part of her work is collaboration with children: the trilogy "Legends of Mława", created together with young participants as part of her artistic and educational practice, has received international recognition, including the award for Best Thematic Representation at the MA Beach Film Festival (Brazil).

Through her films and educational initiatives, Ganna Yarovenko builds bridges between cultures, generations, and communities, using cinema as a tool for dialogue, memory, and human connection.
