Biography

Marc Robinson has worked at the intersection of film, television, and music for over 20 years in various roles within the Universal Music Group. Throughout his career, he has accumulated a wealth of filmmaker relationships, award-winning projects and industry expertise.

Marc is currently President of Globe and Globe Originals, part of Universal Music UK.

Under his leadership, Globe Originals has developed and produced a range of acclaimed feature documentaries and live music for globally celebrated artists - from Max Richter to Elton John.

As co-President of Mercury Studios, Marc executive produced the company's debut feature documentary "If These Walls Could Sing"(directed by Mary McCartney and produced by John Battsek) celebrating the legendary Abbey Road Studios, Matt Heineman's award winning "American Symphony" about artist Jon Batiste and "One to One: John & Yoko" (directed by Kevin Macdonald & Sam Rice-Edwards).

Recent projects include "Broken English" a 2025 documentary about Marianne Faithfull (produced by Beth Earl and directed by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard.) Marc is also the producer of Kathryn Fergusons' debut scripted short film "Nostalgie" with music by Dan Smith of Bastille.

Marc also served as a co-producer on Steven Knight's TV series "This Town".

Previous sound-tracking credits also include Tom Harper's "Wild Rose" with Jessie Buckley, Quentin Tarantino's "The Hateful Eight", Richard Curtis's "About Time", and John Carney's "Sing Street." Marc has also overseen some of recent pop culture's most iconic music sync moments, including Bridget Jones's Diary featuring Olivia Dean's "It Isn't Perfect but It Might Be" and Saltburn's viral "Murder on the Dancefloor" sequence.
