- Ali Oop was born in 1981 in Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge, Alaska, USA. He was an actor, known for Grizzly Falls (1999) and The Last Trapper (2004). He died on July 17, 2008 in Innisfail, Alberta, Canada.
- He grew up in Alberta, Canada's Calgary Zoo. His owners, Lisle M. LaBarge and Ruth LaBarge transferred him to the Innisfail's Discovery Wildlife Park in 2004. He permanently remained its resident until his death.
