Biography

Emily Everhard is a writer, director and actress who tells stories about female underdogs and outsiders. Born in Colorado, Emily got her start as a child actress. She starred in a CBS sitcom and appeared in various film and television productions on ABC, NBC and FOX. After earning her MFA from Columbia University, Emily became a Sundance x Sloan Episodic Fellow and an Austin Film Festival x Enderby Entertainment Filmmaking Fellow. Her films have screened at Oscar Qualifying Film Festivals including Palm Springs ShortFest, HollyShorts, Austin Film Festival, Nashville Film Festival, BendFilm and Cinequest.

Austin Film Festival and MovieMaker Magazine named her a "2025 Screenwriter to Watch." Emily's films have played & won awards at festivals including Aspen ShortsFest, Austin Film Festival, SeriesFest and more. Her work has been supported by the Sundance Institute, Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, Catwalk Institute and more. As a pre-teen, Emily starred in a CBS series and appeared in various film and television productions on ABC, NBC and FOX. Emily studied at Dartmouth College (BA, History) and Columbia University (MFA, Screenwriting / Directing). Emily's worked on documentaries for Netflix, Sundance/AMC Channel, and PBS. She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
