Brian Pines is the president and CEO of Hypomania Content, an independent multimedia production and management company based in Los Angeles. Pines was executive producer of the Emmy-nominated It Gets Better for MTV and Logo, Savage U (MTV), The Pre-Game Meal with Shannon Allen (NECN, CSNNE) and HOW'S MY DRIVING (Crackle).

Pines is also the co-founder of the Iola Foundation, a California-based 501(c)3 that currently operates as the It Gets Better Project. Pines serves on the board of the Project, which works to communicate to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth around the world that 'it gets better.' The It Gets Better Project received the Governors' Award from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in 2012 for its use of the medium of television to inspire social change.

From 2006-2008, Pines was Senior Vice President of TV at Josephson Entertainment (Bones). Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Production and Development at Heel & Toe Film from 2000-2005 where he was Executive in Charge of Production on the hit series House.

Pines also worked in public relations at the firm Nancy Seltzer & Associates and with Susan Sarandon, coordinating her work on behalf of more than 100 international non-profit organizations, political campaigns and NGOs.

Pines is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts' Dramatic Writing Program. He is engaged to Seth Levy and lives in Los Angeles with their two dogs.
