- Paul Pennolino is known for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (2014), Full Frontal with Samantha Bee (2016) and The Problem with Jon Stewart (2021).
- Paul graduated from the Radio-TV School at the University of Arizona, Tucson in 1984. He worked as a News Photographer for the ABC-TV affiliate in Tucson, KGUN 9, for a year, before returning to his native state of New York.
- Nominated for the 2018 Emmy Award in the Outstanding Directing For A Variety Series category for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (2014), but lost to Don Roy King for Saturday Night Live (1975).
