Mini bio

  • Richard Kent Green -- "RKG", as colleagues know him -- is here to help. He has worked in film, television, commercials, and theatre for decades, playing the squirrely guy who "gets it" (or thinks he does) because he's freakishly smart, or he blindly follows his heart... and one usually gets in the way of the other: offbeat geniuses (Einstein, Salvador Dali, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Dr. Strangelove), hopeless cases and hardasses you find yourself rooting for. An actor for whom roles get suddenly 'written in'. Someone to call when you don't know who you need.

Richard grew up in Indiana, Virginia, Tennessee, and Fire Island, NY, the third son of a former protestant minister and an OG Jersey Girl.

His life as an artist began on his third birthday, when he announced that he'd be a clown when he grew up. He first trod the boards in community theater at the age of ten. Acting and singing carried him through high school and college, when his best friend gave him his first ukulele. He worked on the road for a bit -- acting, singing & moving well, mostly with Musicana Supper Clubs and The Repertory Theater of America / Alpha-Omega Players -- then "repatriated" to New York. After a few years in the cabaret world (Once Upon A Stove and Paper Moon), RKG, as he was now known, immersed himself in indie theater, first as an Acting Company Member of Love Creek Productions, then as company artist, director, and producer with the WorkShop Theater Company -- with occasional work in TV, film and commercials.

Richard's focus is now exclusively on TV, film & commercial work.
