Biography

Jimenez is an award-winning writer and filmmaker who has worked in film, television and print media.

Her filmography includes the comedy hit BIG TIME, directed by Mario Cornejo, where she worked as producer and writer. In 2010, she directed her first full length feature, a documentary titled, "Kano: An American and His Harem" which won in the prestigious International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam 2010, and also the Best Documentary Award in Cinemanila and GawadUrian. Jimenez is the presiding chairperson of IFC (Philippine Independent Filmmakers Multi-purpose Cooperative), one of the largest representations of independent filmmakers in the country.

Her real name is Maria Coreen T. Jimenez.
