One of the leading Portuguese journalists, he was a founding member of
the private radio station TSF, of the private leading newspaper Púbico
and the first private TV station in Portugal, SIC. He was
vice-president of news division at SIC (1999-2001), president of the
news division of cable news network SIC Notícias (2001) and
vice-president of news division at public TV station RTP (2001-2002).
