Javier Aparisi is a Spanish-Canadian filmmaker who currently resides in North Vancouver, Canada, since 2011.

Graduating from ESCAC, the renowned Spanish film school, in 2004 marked the beginning of Javier's cinematic journey. Since then, he has dedicated himself to the art of filmmaking and editing, collaborating with various production companies.

His talent garnered recognition with the award-winning graduation short film, "NATI", which unfolds against the backdrop of post-Spanish Civil War turmoil. The film follows a young republican ensnared by fascists and stands as a testament to Javier's storytelling prowess.

In the poignant drama, "THE MISSING PICTURE", shot in Vancouver and on Vancouver Island, Javier delves into the disintegrating world of a grandmother grappling with Alzheimer's. This project showcases his ability to capture the intricacies of human emotion and vulnerability.

Javier's most recent work, "I KNOW YOU ARE HERE", sheds light on the impact of early Covid-19 lock-downs on a young couple's life. Crafted as a tribute to front-line workers, this short film demonstrates Javier's commitment to exploring relevant and timely themes through his art.

Currently, he is immersed in the development of two feature films and a new short film. As Javier navigates the complexities of these projects, he continues to weave narratives that resonate with audiences, showcasing his dedication to the craft of storytelling on both a local and global scale.
