Biography

  • Zach learned early you must fight to survive. He was born 4 months premature at only one pound five ounces. Born with undeveloped lungs and translucent skin he struggled for the first six months of life hooked up to oxygen, and daily transfusions of blood in the neo-natal ward of New York University Hospital. The oxygen tube lodged down his throat accounts for the unique sounding voice Zach has today. At only 14 years of age he has been described as an actor, voice-over and singing talent who sounds like he has been smoking and drinking for years. His voice is often compared to rock legend, Rod Stewart. Zach is also an accomplished drummer performing in his own band, "The Blues Boys" and with his junior high school jazz band and guest appearances with the Cheyenne Youth Symphony Orchestra. Ironically Zach's drum coach in Los Angeles is Rod Stewart's former drummer, Tony Brock! Although born in New York City, Zach and his mother moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming as soon as Zach was out of the hospital and able to travel. Zach started his career modeling and acting in Denver (an hour from Cheyenne). He landed his first movie role, The Laramie Project on HBO, when he was in third grade. He now leads a hectic life flying back and forth from Wyoming to Los Angeles for work. When Zach first landed in Hollywood he found his natural instinct to survive would serve him well. After six months of small parts and a many acting classes in L.A. Zach was cast in the Universal film, "Smokin' Aces", directed by Joe Carnahan. According to the screening reviews Zach was hilarious, in fact his agent was told he stole the movie. As far as Zach is concerned that is the best compliment anyone could give him. Comedy is his first love. He has performed stand-up comedy at the Hollywood Improv and hosts a Teen Talk show on Clear Channel. Zach is driven to succeed.
