- Tetsuya Kakihara was born on December 24, 1982 in Düsseldorf, Germany. He is an actor, known for Gurren Lagann (2007), Fairy Tail: The Phoenix Priestess (2012) and The Garden of Sinners: Paradox Spiral (2008).
- He is multilingual and can speak English, Japanese, and German.
- In 2007 he won the Best Rookie Actor Award at the first Seiyuu Awards for his work as Mikoto Yutaka in Princess Princess (2006).
- His first single, "String of Pain", released on 6 February 2013, is the ending theme song to the anime Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East (2013), in which he also voices the main role of Shino Inuzuka.
