Kristoffer Rus

Director and producer Kristoffer Rus made his feature film debut with "Into the Wind" in 2022. The film premiered on Netflix and became one of the top ten most-watched non-English language films worldwide. Rus followed up his success with "Too Old for Fairy Tales" in 2022, which had the best opening weekend for a family film in Poland since 1989. After its Netflix premiere, the film became the most-watched non-English language film globally in July 2022. Eager to explore darker themes, Rus convinced the Swedish streamer Viaplay to produce a true crime series called "Murderesses": after a triumphant premiere on Viaplay in October 2023, where it went straight to number one, "Murderesses" became the most-watched series on Netflix in Poland within just 48 hours of its launch. Viewers watched an average of 207 minutes, while the entire series ran for 254 minutes, which is the highest average viewing time for a series in Poland in 2023. In March 2024, Rus released the highly anticipated sequel "Too Old for Fairy Tales 2" in Polish cinemas, where it attracted over 620,000 admissions. Since 2022, Rus has served as the Head of Paprika Studios Poland, where he has produced "Murderesses" (Viaplay Poland, Netflix, FX) and service produced "Fury Resurrection" (Amazon Prime), "End of Summer" (Viaplay Sweden), and "Agent Hamilton" (TV4, Sweden).
