Amanda Jones is an Emmy Award Winning Composer whose recent films include Moving On, directed by Oscar winning director Paul Weitz starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, Netflix's The Perfect Find directed by Numa Perrier, the upcoming #1 On the Call Sheet starring Halle Berry, Angela Bassett, Tessa Thompson and more for Apple TV +, Parmount's animated feature Jodie starring Tracee Ellis Ross and Mea Culpa starring Kelly Rowland for Netflix.

Additional film credits include Duplass Bros' produced feature 7 Days, the HBO Max Documentary Feature Dreamland: The Rise and Fall of Black Wall Street,, the Netflix feature Definition Please, starring Levar Burton directed by Sujata Day, Unexpected directed by David Hunt, Menelek Lumumba's award-winning drama 1 Angry Black Man and Smriti Mundhra and Sami Khan's Oscar-nominated documentary short St. Louis Superman.

Jones' original music can be heard on the episodes "South Africa" and "Long Island" for Apple TV+'s documentary series Home Season 2 for which she received a 2023 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Composition and Direction. "Maine" from Apple TV+'s documentary series Home Season 1 was her first Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Music Composition For A Documentary Series or Special (Original Dramatic Score). Jones has the distinction of being the first African American female to be nominated in the Primetime Emmy score category.

Jones has a BA in music from Vassar College where she studied music composition, production and classical guitar under Terry Champlin. She also has certificates in both film scoring and orchestration from Berklee College of Music.
