Biography

Tatyana N. Pokrovskaya is a second-generation creative with 30 years of experience in documentary and feature films. Her career began in print, radio, broadcast news, TV, and documentaries. She studied film at American University, journalism at Moscow State University, and communications at the University of Maryland. She carries forward the legacy of both her father, a writer for Time magazine and ABC News, and her mother, a ballerina and filmmaker who studied film and collaborated with renowned Russian director Leonid Kvinikhidze on his early documentary and social issue projects in St. Petersburg (formerly Leningrad).
