Before joining AIR, Mat worked as part of the Angel Studios team on projects such as George Fenton's score for Cannes' Palm d'Or and Grand Prix winner I, Daniel Blake, as well as Anne Dudley's score for Mama Mia! Here We Go Again, and the beloved John Lewis and Age UK Christmas advert; Man On The Moon. With over two decades of experience as a recording engineer and mixer, Mat's portfolio totals a breadth of genres and projects, from Mica Levi's score for the critically praised The Zone of Interest, to Geoff Barrow and Ben Salisbury's Primetime Emmy-nominated Devs.

In recent years, Mat's film and TV credits have seen him recording strings for Dominik Scherrer's The Tourist 2 and Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch's All Of Us Strangers, engineering and mixing for Rob Lane's song Northern Lights and the TV series Cobra, and engineering and mixing the AVAWAVES score for the historical drama The Buccaneers.

Mat's CV further boasts projects with classical artists Nigel Kennedy, Piotr Beczala, and Craig Ogden, and orchestral sessions for Florence the Machine, Labrinth, Professor Green, Katie Melua, and Seal, as well as recording the choir on Jon Hopkins Singularity, strings and brass on Blur's Ballad of Darren, and strings for Stormzy's This is What I Mean.
