Jack Thorne was born on December 6, 1978 in Bristol, England, UK. He is a writer and producer, known for Adolescence (2025), Wonder (2017) and The Aeronauts (2019). He is married to Rachel Mason.

Is a graduate of the Royal Court Theatre's Young Writer's Programme.

Studied Politics at Pembroke College, Cambridge.

Was Pearson Writer-in-Residence at the Bush Theatre 2006-7.

Is a former member of Paines Plough's Future Perfect group.

Is the brother-in-law of Comedian Frank Skinner.
