Carol has a BFA in Communication Design and Illustration from Otis/Parsons School of Design in Los Angeles.
A veteran in animation, Carol is an Animation Color Supervisor and Background Painter in TV Animation, and Professor at Cal State Long Beach.
While attending Otis/Parsons School of Design, Carol began working as a graphic designer and illustrator. Her work could be seen in national publications (The LA Times, Wall Street Journal, Interview Magazine, Good Housekeeping, etc.) and on national commercial campaigns (American Express, McDonald's, etc.), while also exhibiting her paintings in Los Angeles galleries (La Luz de Jesus, 01 Gallery, etc.).
Following her work on the Beastie Boys Music Video, Shadrach, at Klasky/Csupo, Carol's animation career took off on the first 4 seasons of The Simpsons. She quickly worked her way up from BG Cleanup to BG Design (The Simpsons, pilots, commercials and music videos), Assistant Animator (The Simpsons Butterfinger commercials, Rugrats, The Jetsons Movie), Art Director (Edith Ann, Nightmare Ned, Hey Arnold!), Assistant Director (TNT Wild World of Shorts), Color Design Supervisor (The Simpsons, Duckman, Rocko's Modern Life, etc.), and Development Designer (Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Camp Lazlo, etc.), BG Painter and Color Designer (Two Stupid Dogs, The Power Puff Girl Movie, The Ricky Gervais Show, etc.).
Carol has worked for Warner Bros., Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Walt Disney, Universal, MTV Networks, 20th Century FOX, HBO, Nickelodeon, Starz/Film Roman, Klasky/Csupo, Starburns, TBS, Hanna Barbera, and is mostly known for her work on Rick and Morty, Amphibia, Over the Garden Wall, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, and The Simpsons.
